We are in the beautiful Dorset countryside revisiting one of our outdoor kitchen installations that we have created for one of our customers.
This is a classic L-shaped outdoor kitchen with a rendered finish, which we made using concrete blocks and then rendering afterwards with just standard sand and cement. Finally it was painted to match the existing cottage.
The kitchen is constructed using steel lintels across all openings for a complete block finish to speed up the rendering time. The customer requested a back splash to the rear which finishes the lovely outdoor kitchen perfectly as you will see later.
For this installation we have used Dekton worktops.
This one is called Dekton Trillium, it's a man-made product and it's made from 100% recycled materials. We believe it's the only carbon-free environmentally friendly worktop available on the market.
Dekton worktops are perfect for outdoor kitchens, it's heat proof, it's cold proof, it's scratch proof, once it's fitted it's virtually indestructible.
We are sure you will agree it looks really nice.
This client was looking for a built in pizza oven. We built and installed this Alpha Capolino 60 stone built oven.
It comes as a clay mould and a base, it then needs insulation put over the top of it, all held in place with chicken wire. Finally it is rendered in heat proof render and painted to make it to match the kitchen. The standard pizza oven comes with a façade. The brickwork on this particular installation was bespoke to get it to tie in with the country cottage feel.
This outdoor pizza oven oven takes about an hour to get up to heat and then about 90 seconds to cook a pizza. We also installed a convenient log store directly underneath.
This Kitchen has plenty of outdoor stainless steel cupboards outdoor stainless steel cupboards and draws underneath the Dekton worktops for storage.
The kitchen has been designed to be in keeping with the main cottage building, for this reason you have got a Belfast sink and the tap that the customer wanted, simply made out of copper pipes. The outdoor kitchen also features copper towel rails or tool holders.
You've got the essential beefeater stainless steel outdoor single fridge, for keeping food and drinks in.
A ceramic egg bbq on a lower shelf breaks up the worktops quite nicely.
On the end there is a drop-in BBQ grill. In simple terms, it's basically a metal tray. It's got a turning handle so you can raise it and lower it to adjust your cooking temperature.
Everything about this kitchen is all about cooking on wood, coal and fire. The only exception is the gas side burner to left of the drop in BBQ, help keep the BBQ as traditional as it comes.
