🍽️ Ingredients:
1 onion, thinly sliced
6 eggs (plus 3 for frying)
2 handfuls of grated cheddar cheese
Salt and pepper, to taste
About 6 cooked baby potatoes, sliced
6 pork sausages (skin casing removed if present)
Streaky bacon
Olive oil
Muffin buns, halved
Avocado, mashed for spreading
Cheese slices
🛠️ Equipment:
Monolith Kamado Oven
Baking tray
Mixing jug
Tongs
Spatula
🥣 Method:
Temperature: Firstly get your Monolith Kamado oven to roughly 180°C.
Prepare the Onions: Place the sliced onion on a tray and start cooking them in your Monolith Kamado. 🧅
Egg Mixture: In a jug, whisk 6 eggs. Add in one handful of cheese, the sliced potatoes, salt, and pepper. 🥚
Sausage Patties: If the sausages have a skin casing, peel it off. Combine the sausages to form 3 sausage patties. 🌭
Cook the Frittata and Patties: Grill the sausage patties. Pour the egg mixture over the onions, stir, and top with more cheese. Close the Kamado lid to cook until nearly done, flipping the patties midway. 🥄
Add Bacon: Near the end of cooking, add the bacon to the grill. 🥓
Final Cooking Stage: Take the cooked items out of the Monolith and place to the side. Drizzle a tray with some oil and put it in the Monolith to get hot. Fry 3 additional eggs on the tray and toast the muffin buns. 🍳
Assemble the Muffins: Spread avocado on the bottom muffin half, add a sausage patty, cheese slice, bacon, and a fried egg. Cap with the top muffin half. 🍔
🎨 Customisation Tips:
Feel free to experiment with the quantities and ingredients to suit your taste.
Add barbecued vegatables to the frittata, switch up the cheese, or use different types of sausages.
For a spicier kick, include some chopped chillies or a dash of hot sauce.
This BBQ breakfast, cooked on the Monolith Kamado BBQ, is not only delicious but also highly adaptable to your personal preferences. Whether it's a weekend treat or a special brunch, this meal is sure to delight. Enjoy crafting your own BBQ breakfast masterpiece! 😋🧡
